Interactive Service System & Products - ReAIlity
ReAIlity is an interactive service system designed for emotional well-being and real-world awareness. Through an integrated app and hardware setup, it helps users maintain authentic human connection in the age of AI. The app offers personalized interaction tasks and anonymous social spaces based on user emotions and habits. The hardware includes auditory and tactile modules that let users record/play real-life sounds or share gestures like hand squeezes—bringing digital connection back to physical experience. ReAIlity bridges technology and reality, encouraging users to stay grounded in the present.
This project was completed by a four-person team: Rachel Duan, Levy Liu, Snow Jing, and Elvis Chen.
Rachel (I) led the system architecture and service design, shaping the overall framework that connected the app and hardware experience. I developed the double-diamond design process, guiding the project from concept ideation to final proposal and exhibition. I also coordinated the service blueprint, user journey, and stakeholder mapping, ensuring that emotional interaction and technical feasibility aligned within the ecosystem. In addition, I directed the promotional video production and curated the final exhibition experience, crafting the narrative that communicated the project’s vision to the public.
Levy focused on hardware form modeling and physical interaction design.
Snow developed the hardware–software integration and technical implementation.
Elvis designed the UI/UX system for the mobile app interface.
